North Uist based poet, Pauline Prior Pitt, is back by popular demand to read at the Reading Room on Tuesday 23 April at the Skeabost Hotel.
Pauline will be reading from her new collection Elsewhere. As in her earlier books you will find that quirky mixture of humour and poignancy that we have come to expect from her poetry. The evening will also celebrate World Book Night by featuring readings from this year’s selection of World Book Night books.
The event is funded by The Reading Room and Creative Scotland’s Live Literature programme which is managed by the Scottish Book Trust. The scheme exists to bring Scottish fiction writers, playwrights, poets, storytellers and their work to every corner of Scottish society including schools, libraries, writers groups, additional support needs organisations, community groups and literary organisations. The scheme subsidises up to 1200 writer events around the country each year, reaching an average annual audience of over 50,000 people.
We look forward to seeing you there ….
