Celebrating Book Week Scotland with our first book launch

We’re getting very excited………… Words from an Island, the Reading Room’s first Anthology is being launched during Book Week Scotland – can’t think of a better way to celebrate BWS than with a book launch.

You’ll find the poster here if you’d like to print one off to publicise the event locally

There will wine and music (from the lovely students of Sgoil Chiùil na Gàidhealtachd/National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, Plockton). Richard, Linda and Meg will launch the book they’ve worked so hard to produce on our behalf, and, something else… oh yes, readings galore from the Anthology.

The evening will be a celebration of everything that the Reading Room is about – fostering, developing and showcasing the wealth of talent in our community of established writers and yet-to-be discovered writers; and for all our readers, a wonderful feast of stories and poems. Have you ordered your copies yet – suggest you do as it looks like we’re going to run out of the first printing run………. Exciting, or what?

The date you need to put in your diary is Tuesday 26th November at the Skeabost House Hotel. The event starts at 7.00p.m. and you’re welcome to come along early if you fancy eating before we start – the hotel does bar meals and refreshments.

Come along and celebrate this wonderful achievement with us and pick up a few copies for Christmas.
