A Bardic Journey to Skye

News from Scottish Storytelling Centre

Travellers are invited to link up poets and places through a live storytelling and musical experience as they take a unique and special journey into landscape, culture and tradition. (You may take the entire journey from Edinburgh, or attend the week-end programs in Glendale, for individual fees. See below.)

Bardic Journey is led by Skye’s own tradition-bearer and Seanachaidh of Glendale, George Macpherson, with storyteller and author Donald Smith. Storyteller and harpist, Heather Yule, will also accompany the journey, to blend the poetry of place with the music of ‘the tree of strings’.
