Marcello Tully is the Key Ingredient

With the theme for Book Week Scotland 2017 being ‘Nourish’ we at the Reading Room knew we were onto a good thing. With Skye being recognised as a major foodie destination we had a wealth of talent to choose from.

Fast forward to the evening of Tuesday 28th November and we were delighted to welcome Marcello Tully, executive chef at Kinloch Lodge, to talk to us about his life, his work and his recently published book, ‘The Key Ingredient’. He was an open and engaging speaker and it was interesting to hear about his journey from his birth place of Brazil to Kinloch Lodge taking in training with the Roux Brothers and other food business experience en route.

Unfortunately the weather was not kind, so our audience was small, but this allowed for an intimate meeting with all present being able to ask questions and discuss all sorts of food related matters. An excellent and interesting evening for all involved.
